WELCOME TO FSTI

The Fire Services Training Institute (FSTI) mission is to provide training to today's public safety community, including volunteer, private non-profit, industrial and tribal fire agencies. FSTI, founded in 2006,  is a California non-profit public benefit corporation with both state and federal tax exempt status. Our primary goal is to bring quality training to the firefighter and to promote firefighter safety. The motto of FSTI is Adapt, Overcome, Improvise and Persevere.

OUR INSTRUCTORS

FSTI works closely with local, state and federal agencies to ensure quality services within current standards and practices. All instructors are recognized by credentialing agencies such as the California State Fire Marshal's Office, the National Wildfire Coordinating Group-NWCG or the California Peace Officers Standards & Training-POST. FSTI adheres to the California State Fire Training Instructor Code of Ethics and Conduct. Every instructor is committed to abide by the our
mission statement and principles of ethical conduct.

OUR FUNDING

Training is supported by the community for the community. Funding for FSTI comes from public, corporate and private grants as well as corporate sponsorships. Additional funding is provided by the
California State Firefighters' Association(CSFA). FSTI is the training arm for CSFA, providing training on behalf of CSFA, as well as logistical support of CSFA events and conferences.
